The first replica watch I want to highlight is a gold Panerai from the Submersible collection, but in a smaller 44mm size rather than the usual 47mm. This replica is only 15mm thick and is produced by the VS factory, also known as SBF (SoBoring Factory). All new Panerai replicas from this factory now carry the SB name. The reason for the name change is unclear, possibly a strategic move to reduce risk.
The new Panerai model is the PAM 1070. It appears to be made of rose gold, but the tone is different from other rose gold watches. It has a golden case with a forged carbon bezel and comes with a black rubber diver’s strap. VS also provides an extra nylon band for free, which is a nice touch. It seems they’ve adopted a design approach similar to Hublot’s fusion concept for this PAM 1070.
VS factory’s Panerai replicas have always impressed us, and they dominate the market, which is why other manufacturers haven’t entered this niche. The rose gold case has a brushed finish, as does the crown bridge. The brushing on the crown bridge is more noticeable and not as refined as on the case. The bezel is made from genuine forged carbon material, closely mimicking the texture of the original, although it can’t match the quality of the authentic version. There’s always a difference when replicas use special materials like carbon.
The dial is black with a sunken small-second subdial in gray, contrasting nicely with the black background. The black dial has a visible sunburst finish, though it isn’t as refined as the genuine version. The central hands are skeletonized with a white luminescent coating on top. The gold edges of the hands and hour markers look more like yellow gold than rose gold.
The case back is solid, which is a feature of all the new Fake Panerai released recently. It includes a symbol and an OP number, although I prefer a see-through crystal back. I also noticed a small OP logo engraved on one of the lugs, which adds a unique touch. Inside, there’s a super clone P.900 movement, one of the earliest and most tested super clone P series movements from VS factory. Panerai replicas with VS’s super clone movements generally have minimal or no issues. I’m very excited about this Panerai model; it reminds me of the excitement I felt when I first saw a fully forged carbon Panerai several years ago.
